chocolate chip banana muffins

typically i’d make this recipe and place it into a loaf pan to make banana bread. however, in this case i decided to change things up and grab the muffin dish. when pouring the batter into the liners i finished off by topping each muffin with chocolate chips and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder. you’ll thank us later!

ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

how to make this recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F

  2. In a bowl, add the bananas and mash until smooth. Add in the melted butter and stir until well combined.

  3. Add the sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda, salt, and flour, and stir until the batter is smooth.

  4. Add in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into a muffin dish or loaf pan. Top with additional chocolate chips and sprinkle ground cinnamon .

  5. Bake for approx. 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  6. Cool completely before serving.

  7. Enjoy!
