lemon pepper chicken thighs
sure you can make this dish with a drumstick or breast, but we truly feel a chicken thigh is prime. there’s so much more flavor in the meat and less likely to dry out like a breast. just be sure to trim off any unwanted fat when prepping this dish of course.
ingredients:
2 tbsp. lemon pepper seasoning
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 lemons (sliced)
1 lb. boneless skinless chicken thighs
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 c. Chicken broth
4 cloves garlic, minced
Freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
how to make this recipe:
In a medium bowl, whisk together lemon pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. toss your chicken thighs in the bowl and mix until fully coated. finish by adding in honey.
In a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add chicken in a single layer and cook until golden on bottom, about 5 minutes, then flip chicken thighs.
To skillet, add broth, garlic, and lemon slices and cook until chicken is cooked through and sauce has reduced slightly, 3 minutes.
Spoon sauce on top of chicken and garnish with parsley.
enjoy!
