I first want to thank you for being one of the first to join this new segment I’m starting for bydominicjames. It truly means the world and i know by you sharing your story with my readers they’ll not only be able to learn something, but hopefully relate to your journey somehow. Let’s get started shall we? For those of you who haven’t been to the relaxation heaven that’s DaeGlo Studio in Sayville, New York i don’t know what’s stopping you. 

Hello Genna! 

hey! so excited to be here.

So, why clean beauty? Is it just the trend the season? 

I’ve always been drawn to non toxic living. I incorporate it into all aspects of my life. Just ask my friends and family haha they call me plant lady. I think it’s really important what we use on our skin. I’ve been into “clean beauty” before it became a trend. I’ve tried basically everything from makeup to skincare and it’s come a long way. Companies really put a lot into quality ingredients and the way the product performs so I truly believe it’s here to stay. 

What was the hardest challenge you faced that you wish you knew before opening your open studio? 

I’d say work life balance. I have a hard time saying no because my job is my passion and I want to help everyone. I can keep working 24/7 which isn’t the best since that could lead to burnout. I am getting better but it’s a work in progress!

If you could only use one beauty product for the rest of your life what would that be and why?

Tinted sunscreen moisturizer. Anti aging starts with spf! I love to keep my skin hydrated and protected. 

Is there one product that’s considered “toxic” or clean beauty that you still can’t get away from?

I’d say toothpaste is a tough one for me! I have yet to find one that I really love and I’ve tried a lot! If anyone has any suggestions help a sister out! 

So … What’s next for DaeGlo Studio? 

I see DaeGlo expanding into it’s own storefront with a lot more to offer! We’re just getting started so stay tuned!
